Team Walks

STRIDE AND THRIVE TOGETHER.

Having experienced working in busy environments I know how valuable being outside in nature is for mental wellbeing. Getting outdoors is a great way for everyone to relax and connect with their colleagues outside of their usual work setting.

With the stunning landscape of the Peak District as our backdrop, we specialise in creating bespoke itineraries to meet your company’s needs. Whether it’s a short two-hour walk or a full day out, we offer a range of options.

Team Walks offer several benefits for both employees and the organisation. Here are some key advantages:

Stress Reduction

Team walks allow employees to take a break from their regular work routine and promote relaxation and stress reduction. This can help improve mental wellbeing and reduce burnout.

Increased Productivity

When employees are physically and mentally healthy, they tend to be more productive. Time away from the usual workplace setting can boost employee morale, motivation, and job satisfaction, resulting in increased productivity and efficiency.

Employee Engagement

Offering team activities outside of the workplace demonstrates that the organisation values the well-being of its employees. This can enhance employee engagement, loyalty, and retention.

Creativity and Innovation

Walks provide a change of environment and stimulate discussion, creativity, and innovation. Engaging in different activities and experiences can inspire fresh ideas and perspectives among employees.

Health and Fitness

Encouraging employees to engage in physical activity and prioritise their health can lead to improved fitness levels and overall wellbeing.

Team Building

Spending time as a team away from the usual workplace setting provides an opportunity for employees to bond and develop stronger relationships. Engaging in team activities fosters collaboration, improves communication, and enhances teamwork within the organisation.

OVERALL, SPENDING TIME AS A TEAM IN THE OUTDOORS CONTRIBUTES TO A POSITIVE WORK CULTURE, IMPROVED EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING, AND ENHANCED ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE.

TESTIMONIALS

After initially doing a fundraising walk with Whats Not To Hike, we decided that a walk for the whole team would be beneficial – it allowed us to get to know each other outside of the workplace and for some great natural conversations. Lizzy was approachable, organised and made sure the walk was suitable for the whole team. We had a great morning. Thank you!

I’ve had the pleasure of taking part in several walking challenges in the Peak District lead by Lizzy & her team at What’s Not to Hike. Leading and managing a group of walkers of different abilities takes an abundance of patience & a great sense of humour, Lizzy has both. She is very knowledgeable & clearly has a passion for everything to do with the outdoors. I’ve enjoyed her company & would have no hesitation in recommending her to organise & lead walking events & challenges. I’m looking forward to the next one.

I am the Events Manager at a charity called The Passage. We work with Lizzy at Whats Not to Hike to organise our two annual fundraising walks. Lizzy is fantastic to work with, has so much knowledge and makes our life so much easier. The support prior to the event for us as a charity and our participants is brilliant and the day always runs smoothly. Everyone loves taking part in our walks, the team are super friendly and I’d highly recommend Whats Not to Hike.
